Brief Introduction

Dr Monika Gupta is currently serving as Associate Professor (Fruit Science) in the Department of Fruit Science at Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana. She has made significant contributions to the PAU Package of Practices for fruit crops, with 16 recommendations that include five fruit varieties, one rootstock, and ten fruit production technologies. She has published 35 research papers, five book chapters, 50 extension articles, and one research bulletins. She has conducted 50 short-term training programs for farmers and farm women, 20 field days, 50 demonstrations, 17 TV/radio talks and 138 invited lectures on various fruit production technologies. In academics, she has guided five M.Sc. and one Ph.D. student as a major advisor in the discipline of Fruit Science. She has also served on the advisory committees of 16 postgraduate students and mentored twelve undergraduate students. She has taught courses for about 200 credit hours to undergraduate and postgraduate students and authored three practical manuals for UG/PG classes. She has been recognized with two awards for best paper presentations during different national and international conferences. She is also the Incharge of College Orchard.
