Personal:

Dr. (Mrs.) Yogita Sharma joined PAU in the year 2000 in Mohinder Singh Randhawa Library as Assistant Librarian. She has done her B. Lib & Inf. Sc. and M. Lib & Inf. Sc. from Panjab University, Chandigarh, with gold medal. She completed her PhD in Digital Information Literacy from Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi. She has a total experience of 27 years serving in academic libraries. She has attended and organized various training programmes/seminars/conferences. She has delivered various lectures on Library & Information Services and Research & Publication Ethics. She was awarded with Best Librarian Award 2024 by the Association of Agricultural Librarians and Documentalists of India. She is PAU Nodal Officer for ICAR Consortium for e-Resources in Agriculture (CeRA). She is CCPI of ICAR E-granth project of agricultural libraries under NARES (National Agricultural Research and Education System) which includes strengthening of Krishikosh (digital repository of all the agricultural libraries under NARES) and implementation of KOHA. She actively participated in automation, digitization and implementation of RFID technology in the Library. She was instrumental in implementation and execution of anti-plagiarism measures in the University

Teaching

She has a teaching experience of 14 years. She has been teaching PG courses – Library and Information Services (PGS501) and Research and Publication Ethics (RPE501) to master and doctorate degree students of PAU.
