Brief Introduction

Dr. Namami Gohain is an academician in the field of Agricultural Economics, with a specialization in Agricultural Marketing. She completed her B.Sc. in Agriculture from Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat, in 2009, followed by an M.Sc. in Agricultural Economics from Odisha University of Agriculture & Technology, Bhubaneswar in 2012. She earned her Ph.D. from Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), Ludhiana in 2018. Dr. Gohain started her professional career as an Assistant Professor of Agricultural Economics at the School of Agriculture, Lovely Professional University, where she served from January 2019 to October 2020. Since October 2020, she has been serving as an Assistant Professor (Economics) in the Department of Economics and Sociology at PAU, Ludhiana. Currently, she is placed under the scheme “Strengthening of Agricultural Marketing Research in the Department of Economics and Sociology.” Dr. Gohain has been actively involved in teaching a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and Ph.D. level courses in Agricultural Economics. Her academic contributions include over 20 research papers published in reputed national and international journals, and she has presented her work at numerous academic conferences across the country. In addition to her teaching and research responsibilities, she has also served as a reviewer for various academic journals, further reflecting her expertise and engagement in the scholarly community.
