Professor Nilesh Biwalkar is a dedicated researcher specializing in modern agricultural technologies, including hydroponics, aeroponics, and protected cultivation, with a focus on optimizing irrigation and fertigation scheduling for enhanced crop productivity. With a strong foundation in soil and water conservation engineering, he actively works on designing sustainable solutions for water resource management. Additionally, he leverages remote sensing and GIS tools for effective land and water resource assessment, contributing to precise planning and management strategies. His interdisciplinary approach integrates advanced cultivation methods with geospatial technologies to address challenges in sustainable agriculture, particularly in resource-scarce environments. Through innovative research and field-level applications, he aims to improve resource-use efficiency and promote climate-resilient farming practices. Passionate about capacity building, he also engages in training programs for farmers and stakeholders, supporting the adoption of modern agricultural systems and sustainable land and water management practices. Presently he is project in-charge of Precision Farming Development Centre, Ludhiana.
