Dr. Pankaj Kumar joined PAU as Assistant Professor on 21.08.2006 and promoted to the post of Senior Extension Scientist on 21.8.2019 and Professor on 21.8.2022 (till date). He completed B.Sc. Agriculture (Hons), M.Sc. Extension Education and Ph.D (Extension Education) from PAU, Ludhiana. His field of specialization is Communication and Adoption of Innovations. He has completed three research projects as associated scientist and currently doing one project as Co-PI.mHe has guided seven M.Sc. and three Ph.D. students as major advisor, published 57 research papers in national and international journals, 15 book chapters, four e-books, four teaching manuals, 19 popular articles and presented 24 papers in national and international conferences. He has organized three winter schools, 185 trainings, 54 field days, 25 exposure visits/educational tours, 50 exhibitions, delivered 324 lectures, 14 radio/TV talks and conducted 24 surveys. He is member of seven professional societies and treasurer of Indian Society of Extension Education, New Delhi (Ludhiana Chapter).
