Dr. Paramjit Kaur joined PAU as Assistant Acarologist on 02.01.2009 after completing BSc (Hons.) Agriculture from PAU, Ludhiana in 2002 and MSc (Entomology) from PAU in 2004. She did her PhD (Entomology) from PAU in 2008. She joined as Senior Acarologist on 03.01.2021 (till date). Her field of specialization is bio-ecological studies of predatory and phytophagous mites, acaricide resistance monitoring, host plant resistance, management of mites, taxonomic and genetic variability studies of family Tetranychidae and Phytoseiidae. She is working in All India Network Project on Agricultural Acarology funded by ICAR, New Delhi. She has completed one project as PI funded by Science and Engineering Research Board under Department of Science and Technology, New Delhi in 2025. She has guided 3 MSc students as major advisor. She has published 54 research papers in national and international journals, 35 abstracts in national and international conferences and 12 extension bulletins. She has given 6 recommendations for the management of mites to the farmers. She is a Life fellow of “The Entomological Society of India”
