Brief Introduction

Dr. RaagjeetKaurjoined PAU as Scientist (Soils)in the Department of Plant breeding & Genetics under the Project All India Coordinated Rice Improvement Project in PAU on 24.09.2024 after completing BSc Agriculture (Hons) from PAU in 2016, MSc in Soil Science from PAU in 2018 and PhD (Soil Science) from PAU in 2024. During her PhD she visited Colorado State University, USA as a visiting scholar for the 5 month international training under ICAR NAHEP-CAAST Project.She has published 3 research papers in national and international peer reviewed journals. Her research focuses on Rice residue management practices and optimizing nitrogen fertilization. Her primary interests include assessing the interactive effect of rice straw biochar and nitrogenous fertilizer on crop productivity and carbon accretion in soil. Apart from this she is also a member of various professional societies.
