Dr. Rajwinder Kaur Sandhu is working as Entomologist (Fruits) at Department of Fruit Science, Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana since December 2019. She did her B.Sc. Agriculture (Hons.), M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Entomology from PAU, Ludhiana. She is recipient of many awards and distinctions during her study period. She has 15 research articles in referred journals, 6 book chapters, 3 extension bulletins and 26 extension articles to her credit. She has 5 state level recommendations. She has delivered various expert lectures in training courses/seminars organized by PAU, Ludhiana. She is the recipient of best paper award at Second conference of Agricultural Innovation and Natural Resources 2023, Thailand. She has received 3rd best poster presentation award during Indian Ecological Society International Conference-2024. She is the member of the editorial committee of TAAO Fruit Fly Newsletter and lifetime member of The Entomological Society of India, New Delhi. Currently, she is working on Integrated Pest Management of insect-pests of fruit crops.

• Non-chemical approaches for management of fruit pests

Evaluation of spirotetramat 15.31% (w/w) OD (TAGROS) against mealy bugs and mites on Grapes (Vitis vinifera L.)

Ongoing Projects:

1. Evaluation of the Bio- efficacy and phytotoxicity of Flonicamid 50% against insect pests of citrus
2. Evaluation of the bio- efficacy of Spinetoram 11.7% w/w SC (12% w/v) against thrips, psyllids and leaf miners in citrus
