Brief Introduction

Dr. Rakhpreet Kaur Walia holds a BA (Hons.) and MA in English from Panjab University, Chandigarh, and earned her PhD in English from RIMT University in 2019. With over a decade of teaching experience, she has taught undergraduate and postgraduate English courses since 2009 at institutions including Guru Nanak Girls College and Khalsa College. She joined Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) as a Teaching Assistant in 2019. Dr. Walia is actively involved in a range of academic activities, including editing research articles, reviewing abstracts, conducting literature surveys, guiding thesis writing, and supporting the development of academic presentations and research methodologies. She has presented papers at various national and international conferences and has 10 research publications to her credit. Her areas of specialization are feminist literature, postcolonial studies, Afro-American literature, Indian English writing, and comparative literature. Passionate about fostering academic inquiry and writing proficiency, Dr. Walia plays a vital role in both teaching and research initiatives within the department.
