Dr. Ramandeep Singh is currently serving as Director-cum-Professor at the School of Business Studies, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), Ludhiana. He obtained his Ph.D. in Business Administration from Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU), Amritsar in 1995. His areas of specialization include Agri-Business Management, Marketing Management, and Business Management. With extensive academic and research experience, Dr. Singh has been actively involved in research and innovation in agri-business, particularly focusing on agrarian innovation, agri-startup incubation, and sustainable business models.
He has been instrumental in the execution of the NIDHI-TBI project funded by the Government of India, which has facilitated the development of sustainable packaging solutions, branding strategies, and market linkages for rural agripreneurs. Under his mentorship, over 100 MBA(AB) students and four Ph.D. scholars have worked on diverse topics related to food marketing, supply chain management, digital marketing, and agripreneurship.
Dr. Singh is the Editor-in-Chief of the edited volume “Agribusiness 4.0: GlobalTech for a Sustainable Future” and has delivered over 50 extension lectures to guide farmers and entrepreneurs in marketing and project management. Presently, his focus lies on incubating more than 15 start-ups annually under the NIDHI-TBI initiative and strengthening industry-academia linkages for rural development and food sector growth.
