Brief Introduction

Dr Rimaljeet Kaur joined PAU as Biochemist on 16.05.2018 after completing BSc (Biotechnology) from G.N.D.U, Amritsar in 2008 and M. Sc. (Biochemistry) from P.A.U. in 2010. She did her PhD (Biochemistry) from PAU, Ludhiana in 2014. She has worked as Research Associate, P.A.U. from 2014-2017. She joined as DST INSPIRE Faculty, PAU in 2017. She joined as Biochemist on 16.05.2018 (till date). She was associated with Rice Section, Department of Plant Breeding & Genetics, PAU, Ludhiana on 31.05.2024(till date). Her field of specialization is Plant Biochemistry. She has undergone 4 months training program at Rothamsted Research institute, Harpenden, UK in 2019. She has guided 3 M. Sc. students as major advisor, published 19 research papers in national and international journals. She is the treasurer of Indian Society of Agricultural Biochemists (ISAB), Kanpur.

  1. Associative transcriptomics and metabolomics of stress signal transduction in Brassica juncea alien introgression lines varying for their resistance responses to Lipaphiserysimi herbivory funded by DST in 2022 as PI.
  2. Genomics-led improvement of biotic and abiotic stress tolerance in mustard rape for economic and environmental sustainabilityfunded by DBT-BBRSC in 2022 as Co-I.
