Brief Introduction

Dr. Sandeep Kapur, Professor of Business Management at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), Ludhiana, has held key academic and administrative roles including Comptroller of the university. With a PhD in Business Administration and specialization in Marketing Management, he has led several high-impact projects funded by DST, USAID, UNIDO, UGC, and Microsoft, focusing on agribusiness, cluster development, and industrial competitiveness. His collaborations span globally, including partnerships with the University of Cambridge, Ohio State University, and Egerton University. As a mentor and consultant, he’s supported Indian organizations in strategy and competitiveness, especially in textiles, food, and agriculture. He played a pivotal role in launching new academic programs, strengthening PAU’s innovation ecosystem, and authoring policy frameworks such as Punjab’s FPO Policy. Dr. Kapur has also been instrumental in fostering startups and guiding curriculum development. His current research focuses on sustainable supply chains and competitiveness. Earlier, he worked at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. before joining PAU in 1991.He has guided  5 Ph.D and around 85 MBA students and has 35 research papers to his credit.

  5. Trainer of trainers for UNIDO (United Nations Industrial Development Organization)- completed projects in Pakistan and Iran
  6. Developing competitiveness of Ludhiana Knitwear Cluster- Microsoft Funded project
  7. Completed various consultancy projects for different companies to develop their growth strategies.
