Dr. Satinder Kaur Khattra joined Civil Engineering Department at PAU Ludhiana on April 26, 2010. She has been working in the area of Structural Engineering by joining as Assistant Professor. She holds a B. Tech (Civil Engineering) from TIET, Patiala, M.Tech. in Structural Engineering from PAU, Ludhiana and Ph.D. (CE) from PTU Jalandhar. She received PAU merit Scholarship during M.Tech. programme. With an academic and research career spanning over a decade, she has made significant contributions to the field of Structural Engineering, particularly in the domain of sustainable construction and utilization of agro-industrial waste in concrete, low-cost construction technologies for rural applications, sustainable building materials and green infrastructure. She has published about 42 research papers, 3 extension articles in various Journals, Proceedings of Conferences, Seminars etc. besides publishing one teaching manual and 03 book chapters in international books. Played a key role in testing during the development of bioenzyme from kinnow waste, a fermented organic cleanser, which has been recommended by the Research Evaluation Committee (REC), PAU Ludhiana. Besides this she has been member of many construction committees constituted at university level for various construction projects and purchase of materials. Presently, she is a member of Counseling and Placement Guidance Cell of the University and Social secretary for College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology.
