Brief Introduction

Dr. Saurabh Ratra, a member of the IEEE, serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at Punjab Agricultural University, located in Ludhiana, Punjab. Prior to joining Punjab Agricultural University, he earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT) Jaipur. His research interests encompass various aspects of renewable energy such as wind, photovoltaic (PV), distributed generation (DG), microgrids, as well as smart grid technologies, power system planning, dynamics, stability, techno-economic analysis, and optimizations. He has contributed to esteemed journals through published articles and has presented papers at conferences. Additionally, he has presented numerous talks on smart engineering technologies on programs broadcasted on the Doordarshan channel and All India Radio Jalandhar. Furthermore, he actively participates as a reviewer for distinguished journals including IET-RPG, Elsevier, IEEE Access,and the IEEE Power & Energy Society General Meeting Conference.
