Dr Seema Garcha joined in the present position in April 2014. Previosuly, she worked as Assistant Professor, Department of Biotechnology, Punjabi University Patiala from Feb 2004 to March 2014. She has had teaching assignments in Central Governmnet institute, Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology, Sangrur and Punjab Technical University affiliated engineering college and research fellowshop in World Bank funded National Agricultural Technology Project (NATP) in the Department of Entomology, PAU Ludhiana from 2000 to 2002.She has successfully completed UGC funded major research project and Directorate of Research PAU funded seed money project. She was awarded International Travel Grant to present her work in USA and China by central agencies DBT, DST, CSIR and UGC in 2010 and 2012 ,respectively. She has one patent to her credit 423627, granted by Indian Patent office in March 2023. She is serving on departmental and college level committees. She has over 55 publications and 8 chapters in books. She is life member of AMI, BRSI , ISCA and MBSI.
