Brief Introduction

Dr. Shaikh Mohammed Mouzam joined as Assistant Farm Economist in the Department of Economics and Sociology, Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana on 05-10-2018 after completing his B.Sc. (Agriculture) from Tamil Nadu in 2011 and M.Sc. (Agricultural Economics) from MPKV in 2013. He did his Ph.D. (Ag.) in Agricultural Economics from UAS-B, Bangalore in 2017. Before joining PAU he was Inaugural IBSA Fellow at Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS), New Delhi (from Aug. 2017 to Jul. 2018). His field of specialization is Agricultural trade and development policy. He held the additional charge of Asst. Warden PG Boys Hostel from 1.9.2020 to 31.5.2024. He has completed two projects on Social Impact Assessments of Land acquisition for Railway Unloading Siding by BPCL at Jalandhar (Rs. 11 lakhs) and Bathinda (Rs. 5.9 Lakhs) as Co-PI in 2019. He has guided two M.Sc (Ag) students and 1 PhD student as major advisor, published 25 research papers in national and international journals and presented 10 papers in national and international conferences. He was member of University-level, 8 College-level, and 2 Department-level committees.
