Dr. Vajinder Pal Kalra is currently serving as an Agronomist at the School of Organic Farming, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), Ludhiana. He joined in December 2018 after completing his Ph.D. in Agronomy from PAU in 2018. He holds a B.Sc. in Agriculture from Punjabi University, Patiala (2009), and an M.Sc. in Agronomy from PAU (2012). Dr. Kalra has developed over 15 production technologies including resource-conserving and organic farming practices, along with two varieties released and included in PAU’s Package of Practices. He is actively involved in four multidisciplinary projects with a cumulative budget exceeding ₹750 lakhs funded by ICAR, the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, and PWRDA. He has co-authored several research papers in reputed journals and is presently guiding one M.Sc. student. His core research integrates agronomic innovation, sustainable input management, and technology transfer for improving farm profitability and environmental resilience in Punjab.
