Brief Introduction

Dr. Yogita Bohra joined Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana as Assistant Professor (Plant Pathology) on 24.11.2020 after serving as Post-Doctoral Fellow under the World Bank-funded Institutional Development Plan–National Agricultural Higher Education Project (IDP–NAHEP) at GBPUAT, Pantnagar from 2019 to 2020. She completed her B.Sc. (Agriculture) in 2013 from GBPUAT, Pantnagar with distinction, M.Sc. (Plant Pathology) in 2015 from Dr. Y.S. Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Solan, securing overall first rank in the Agriculture degree program, and Ph.D. in Plant Pathology with minor subject as Molecular Biology and Biotechnology from GBPUAT, Pantnagar in 2019, supported by the DST-INSPIRE Fellowship.

At PAU, she is primarily involved in teaching activities and have taught more than 10 undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral courses. She is guiding 5 M.Sc. and 3 Ph.D. students as major or minor advisor, coordinating academic processes through the SAMS portal, and actively contributing to e-learning, content development, and student training initiatives. She had organized more than 30 expert lectures, hands-on practical trainings for the graduate and post-graduate students of the University. She had published more than 10 research papers in peer reviewed NAAS-rated journals, 8 book chapters and popular articles. She has received 6 prestigious awards, including the P.R. Verma Award for Best M.Sc. Thesis, Young Scientist Award by Uttarakhand Council of Science and Technology, best oral and poster paper presentation awards. She is serving as Assistant Editor of Plant Disease Research and as Zonal Councillor (North Zone) of the Indian Phytopathological Society. Dr. Bohra has also delivered invited talks and presentations at more than 15 national and international events, and her expertise lies in plant disease management through integrated and sustainable approaches.
