Mr Sukhminderpal Brar from village Goindwal visited the team NIDHI–TBI and School of Business Studies (SBS) to seek guidance for his organic vegetable venture. He was warmly welcomed by Dr Ramandeep Singh, Principal Investigator, NIDHI–TBI (DST, GoI) and Director, SBS, who addressed his concerns and shared practical insights. Mr Brar was advised on adopting on farm-sale model and also introduced to the concept of integrated farming as a sustainable and profitable approach. In addition, Mr Brar sought expert advice for his goat farming business. He was guided towards value addition, particularly the processing of goat milk and development of market-oriented products aligned with current consumer trends.
Another visitor, Mrs Sangeeta, a retired teacher and entrepreneur, also interacted with the NIDHI–TBI team. Already engaged in the production of juices and squashes under the brand name “Organic Nectar,” she sought guidance for her mushroom cultivation venture, particularly in the areas of marketing and branding. Dr Singh advised her to obtain FSSAI registration and shared strategic inputs on branding, market positioning, and product visibility.
Dr Poonam A. Sachdeva, Co-Principal Investigator, NIDHI–TBI (DST, GoI) and Principal Food Investigator, PAU, provided valuable technical insights to both the visitors and appreciated their entrepreneurial efforts.
Mr Gurinder Singh Gill, CEO, NIDHI–TBI, along with Mr Sameer Gautam, Business Manager, NIDHI–TBI, briefed the visitors about the mission, objectives, and support ecosystem of NIDHI–TBI. The visitors were encouraged to register with the incubator to receive timely mentoring and support. The team also emphasized the importance of following Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), staying aligned with emerging agri-business trends, and actively participating in the training programs regularly organized by NIDHI–TBI.
