Er. Sumit Chopra joined PAU as Assistant Professor on 17.01.2011 after completing M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering in 2007. Prior to this assignment, he has worked with International Tractors limited, Hoshiarpur, Punjab as Assistant Manger-Research and Development, Design Division from 2007- 2011. His field of specialization is occupational safety, metallurgical failure analysis, static and fatigue analysis and investigation of corrosion behavior of metals. He is extensively engaged in teaching of UG and PG courses of the department and has published 5 Teaching manuals. He has completed one project on ICAR e-courses on “Theory of Machines” under Krishi shiksha program. He is also associated team member of AICRP on “ergonomics and safety in Indian agriculture” going on in the department of Farm Machinery and Power Engineering. He has guided 12 undergraduate project students. Presently, he is the Co-Incharge of College Library, COAET, PAU, Ludhiana.
