Dr. Ritu Mittal Gupta is working as Principal Scientist in the Department of Extension Education and Communication Management since March, 2021. She had taught 119 Courses with 478 credit hours since her joining in 2005, besides developing 8 Courses/Manuals. She had published 65 Research Papers in National and International Journals, 11 Book Chapters, 21 Extension Articles and 7 Booklets/Folders. She has presented 42 Research Papers in various National/International Conferences/Seminars and delivered 9 Radio/TV Talks during this period. She organized 88 trainings and 50 camps/ campaigns for the rural community.
As major advisor, ten students completed their thesis under her guidance out of which three were Phd and 7 MSc. To her credit, she has handled seven Research Projects funded by ICAR, DST, NCW, New Delhi and World Bank during this period. She has served on coveted positions like Nodal officer to Dean, PGS; Convener, Prize distribution during various events in PAU; Convener, College reports during all these years, besides organizing Orientation cum Induction training programme for the new recruits in PAU since 2013. To her credit, she conducted first empirical test to Test Information Manipulation Theory in India and has recently applied for Copy Right for her work on Documentation of Successful Agrientrepreneurs in Punjab..She was awarded Academic Excellence Award by Institute of Scholars, MSME. Presently she is Unit Coordinator AICRP-Women in Agriculture.
