Dr. G.P.S. Dhillon is currently serving as Senior Tree Breeder and Head, Department of Forestry and Natural Resources, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), Ludhiana. With over 30 years of experience in forest genetics and tree improvement, he has made notable contributions to teaching, research, and clonal forestry. He earned his M.Sc. in Forestry from PAU with a perfect OGPA of 4.0/4.0 and completed his Ph.D. from the Forest Research Institute, Dehradun. Dr. Dhillon has led innovations in clonal propagation, establishing a functional Mist Chamber for large-scale production of quality planting material. He has recommended four Eucalyptus clones, two Poplar clones, and two Burma Dek varieties for commercial cultivation, and developed suitable techniques for Eucalyptus under saline waterlogged conditions. He has handled five research projects, published 66 papers, authored one book, and guided fourteen M.Sc. students. As Head, he continues to advance sustainable and productive forestry systems in Punjab.
