The Department of Math,  Stat and Physics has developed International collaboration with Belle II experiment at KEK, Japan. The Belle II experiment is a particle physics experiment designed to study the properties of B mesons (heavy particles containing a bottom quark) and other particles. The Belle II collaboration consists of 1174 members from 124 institutes and 27 countries around the globe.  Dr Rajeev Kumar, Assistant Professor (Physics) is active member of this collaboration since 2014 and contributing to both hardware and data analysis activities of this experiment. With the support of ANRF New Delhi, the Department established a computing cluster of 24C with standard protocol (ssh) and contributing to Belle II grid (24×7) through DIRAC in terms of data processing, event generation and simulation studies, etc.
