Punjab Agricultural University’s Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Amritsar organized Ex-trainee Sammelan for Goat farmers on 12.12.2025. Dr. Kanwarpal Singh Dhillon, Assistant Professor (Animal Science), KVK Amritsar, welcomed all the participants and gave a brief introduction about the purpose of the event.
Dr. Bikramjit Singh, Associate Director (Training), KVK Amritsar, interacted with the participants and appreciated the trainees who had earlier attended the vocational training programme on goat farming organized by KVK. He emphasized that the various training courses offered by KVK have immense potential to enhance rural household income and assured full support for their future endeavours. He asked the participants to form Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) and and adopt processing and self-marketing of their produce. Dr. Bikramjit also motivated the trainees to stay connected with KVK and adopt the latest technologies developed and promoted by Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana.
Dr. Dhillon shared important tips regarding management of goat during winter season with the ex-trainees. During this programme, the trainees shared their experiences and provided valuable suggestions and feedback. On this occasion, training certificates were awarded to the trainees and literature was also provided to the goat farmers.
In the end, Dr. Kanwarpal thanked all the participants for their active participation and for making the event successful.
