A total of 20 Anganwadi Workers and Supervisors from the Department of Social Security, Women and Child Development participated in the training.

The training was organized under the able guidance of Dr. Pardeep Kumar, Deputy Director (Training), who delivered a lecture on the importance of nutrition in maintaining health and productivity across life stages. He emphasized that proper nutrition is a cornerstone for achieving holistic development and strengthening immunity, especially among women and children.

She also stressed the inclusion of millets in daily diets due to their rich nutrient profile and multiple health benefits.

As part of the practical session, a nutritional recipe demonstration of Kaguni Kheer (prepared from foxtail millet) was conducted. The dish is rich in protein, fiber, vitamins, and minerals, and being naturally gluten-free, it supports digestion, heart health, bone strength, and blood sugar management.
