Dr. Varinder Singh Saimbhi is working as Extension Scientist (FMPE) since 20.07.2019. He started his profession at SKUAST Jammu from 29.07.2007 and then at KVK Langroya from 24.12.2008. In 26.06.2012, he joined DFMPE, PAU and attached to the DREE as Asstt. Engineer. He has handled SKAUST-J Vehicle Repair and Seed Processing Plant. He has conducted 34 short-duration-trainings, 22 farmer-field-demonstrations, 7 vocational-trainings, 6 in-service-trainings, 83 field-visits, besides contributed in 18 field-days, and 25 KVK-exhibitions. He worked in 8 AICRP-DRES, 1 advisory-project, published 17 research-articles, 16 extension-articles, 6 book-chapters, 5 lab-manuals, 3 extension-leaflets, 1 pocket-book, delivered 4 oral-presentations, guided 15 B.Tech. student projects, 3 M.Tech./M.Sc. researches, is guiding 1 M.Tech., 2 Ph.D. students, taught 52 UG/PG courses besides contributed in release of >106 commercial-test-repots, & peer-reviewed 7 articles. He is also president volleyball game, NCC co-coordinator, judge (throws/races) in athletic meets and co-convener of Kisan-Mela-tentage committees at University-level.
